intro to yoga as therapy with sara

 Learn how yoga can be used therapeutically for physical, mental, and spiritual health.  The 8 limbs of yoga are designed to unlock the healing potential of the body to optimize joint and muscle function, balance hormones, boost immunity and calm the mind.  This class will be the first of a series of Yoga Therapy classes presenting yoga as a tool to maintain health and treat illness.

 Taught by Sara Nelson who is a certified yoga therapist, Ayurvedic Svastha Acharya (wholistic health coach) and doctor of physical therapy. Sara has been a dedicated student of the body and its movement her entire life. She has studied dance, qi gong (Tai Chi Chih and Tai Chi for Arthritis), Gyrotonic (certified since 2008), yoga, functional fitness and rehabilitation.

Studio is open 15 minutes before class for quiet contemplation. Please arrive early as doors will be locked promptly at 9:00am for safety.
