Self-Care for the Caregivers

Take time to release and recharge.  This class will start with accessible movements to reduce physical, mental and emotional tension.  We will practice restorative yoga poses and utilize yoga breathing techniques to soothe the nervous system and quiet the mind.  We’ll end the practice with Yoga Nidra, a meditation that invokes deep rest and mental well-being.

Heather Anastos (E-RYT-500) started practicing yoga in 2002 to help recover from a back injury. Heather focuses on the mental, emotional, and physical healing aspects of yoga and is strongly influenced by the Iyengar and Vinyasa styles of yoga. Heather is also a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Jyotisha Ratna (Vedic astrologer) and brings the healing knowledge of these ancient practices to her classes. She continues her studies with coursework and self-study in Jyotish (Astrology), Pranayama, Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, Metaphysical Studies, Sanskrit, and Asana.
