Back Care Basics with Heather

This weekly class will focus on creating and maintaining a healthy spine! Each class will offer a variety of exercises that support mobility, strength and reduction of tension in the back and neck.

 Students with injuries, joint replacements, spinal fusions, etc., are welcome in this class.

 Heather Anastos (E-RYT-500) started practicing yoga in 2002 to help recover from a back injury. Heather focuses on the mental, emotional, and physical healing aspects of yoga and is strongly influenced by the Iyengar and Vinyasa styles of yoga. Heather is also a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Jyotisha Ratna (vedic astrologer) and brings the healing knowledge of these ancient practices to her classes. She continues her studies with coursework and self-study in Jyotish (Astrology), Pranayama, Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, Metaphysical Studies, Sanskrit, and Asana.

Studio is open 15 minutes before class for quiet contemplation. Please arrive early as doors will be locked promptly at 6:00pm for safety.
